A halloween party to remember
When
he's not busy getting mobbed by screaming Indie fans trying to get a
selfie and their Frank Palangi T-Shirts signed in all the right places,
Brooklyn, New York independent solo rock act, Frank Palangi is out
ripping stages apart and restoring the good name of rock music while
spreading positivity and good will.
Frank is known in and around New York for his ultra-energetic, passionate, authentic rock shows that leave male fans pumped up and female fans waking up in the middle of the night thinking about how good it was; wondering what happened to their under garments with vague memories of throwing them on stage. But when Frank announced that he would be doing a live show on StageIt to celebrate his favorite holiday, Halloween, it was expected to be a mild, watered-down Frank Palangi experience for some reason - It was anything but that.
Unhindered by the mobs of screaming fans, stage etiquette, venue policies and closing times, security, health and safety, lights and cameras, Frank was really able to let cut loose and be even more Rock-N-Roll. Fans had the chance to get up close and personal with their favorite independent music icon in his most intrinsic form. It was like having him perform live just for them; and just like any other Frank Palangi experience, there were some pretty passionate moments.
Whether it was the choice of songs or the sequence of the chosen songs, the halloween costumes, or the dark, scary feel; whether it was the build up to the event after months of so many amazing shows and ground-breaking independent rock releases and videos, or whether it was simply just a new experience to see Frank even more unhindered and even more free-spirited than he already has been seen to be, whatever it was - fans got a lot more than they would have ever thought to wish for and are already keenly campaigning for another one like it.
When those costumes are auctioned off years from now, they'll say, "this was the year Frank showed us how to party - This was the year Frank showed us how to rock, Brooklyn Style".

USA Metal band, Kysmet has taken their next step in solidifying ties with
their fans, and growing what can only be described as a cult following
which they have established over the past few years by staying true to
themselves and putting on some of the liveliest shows the world of
entertainment has ever seen.
The
band recently opened a merch store and have now begun stocking it with
interesting, high quality aparrel that fans can be proud to wear to let
the world know they rock out with the loudest, realest independent rock band on the planet.
Kysmet's
name is inspired by the chinese proverb, "A Kismet Day" which conveys
the message that everything in the universe is exactly as it should be.
They were once described as "the band you can never get a still shot
of on stage". As soon as the show starts all you see is a lot of rapid motion - sweat drops,
guitars and drum stickings, jumping, screaming, long
hair swinging back and forth, left and right and fans going
wild - it's complete pandemonium.
They
are known to gig very regularly and are very popular at live music
venues in and around the Virginia, USA region but are now extending
their reach as their name gets bigger and bigger with every event. They
recently completed a series of live dates and are due to release new
dates shortly.

RAINY AND THE DUST ANNOUNCES NOVEMBER 2016 TOUR
UK Independent World Music band, Rainy And The Dust has announced that
they'll be collaborating with Rik Van Den Bosch, a Spanish folk musician
on tour in November, 2016. The two independent music acts are known for
their spot on songwriting skills and their uplifting instrumentals, so
the tour is expected to be an amazing experience for fans.
Rainy And The Dust is the live band project of Bristol Singer Songwriter, Rainy. In whatever form it takes, they bring to the stage beautiful rootsy-acoustic world grooves, infused with the positivity of Rainy’s lyrics and tied together by an eclectic and laid-back musical style. When people are trying to put a finger on Rainy And The Dust’s sound, they are often compared with the likes of Dave Matthews, G-Love and Paul Simon. In truth, they are nuances of all of the aforementioned, and something else entirely.
Rik is a Singer Songwriter drawing from a wide range of styles and influences; original folk and blues sounds, '60s rock ’n’ roll, and pure rock rhythms, with a bit of Gypsy and Spanish influence. He shies away from textbook techniques, settling outside the margins of academic art and making up his own rules. He released his later EP, Souveniers in October, 2016 and it's already being received well.
The tour schedule is due to be released shortly.

THE RETURN OF SHAOLIN HIP HOP
A legend is born
Back
in the 90's, the versatility of the music industry allowed for the
existence of various styles of the same genre which varied vastly in
context, lyrical content, instrumentation and everything in-between.
This versatility allowed for the rise of a Hip Hop supergroup called the
Wu-Tang Clan whose music themes revolved around Kung Fu, Science, The
Universe, The Metaphysical and the realities of the neighborhoods they
grew up and resided in. Their style was so unique it could never be
imitated or duplicated, and no one dared follow in their footsteps, not
just because their shoes where too big to fill but also because their
deep, insightful lyrical content was very complex and required a large
amount of wisdom, knowledge and understanding, and lot of research.
Hip Hop fans had long lost hope of ever seeing the "Shaolin" Hip Hop style they fell in love with return - until now.
From
the depths of the South Carolina Hip Hop underground, there emerged a
masked rapper with fire in his eyes and a smoking microphone. Ethereal
Hip Hop had returned - A synthesis of science, soul, and esoteric
symbols flooded the underground music scene as Kairo Myth unleased the
vast amount of material he had been working on while sectretly honing
his craft in the dark of the night behind closed doors for years.
Just
like the Wu-Tang, Kairo's music is deep, insightful and rich in
intelligent lyrical content that revolves around the workings of the
universe and complex scientific principles. Kairo created his own sound
and while he's been compared to the Wu-Tang Clan by many, it's easy to
see and hear how he sets himself apart. Culture enriches the depth of
his creativity. Metaphysical poetry
expresses complex emotions. Creativity and visual impact drive results
with sensory overload, yet he does this subconsciously. He intentionally
avoids the obvious to force awareness of the anatomy of self to
ascertain
higher meaning. His musical focus reaches beyond the boundaries of
history to what we consider myths. Rather than tell stories, he provides
intuitive insight to something that lives innately within all of us. The
artistic consideration of his work leaves the listener with either a
sense of clarity or intense questioning. The sophistication of his
lyrics
are supported by powerful metaphysical principles of music that he
choses
specifically to accent the tempo of all his artwork. The rhythm
generated
by select principles of design he emphasizes sets the pace; The music
of his work is interpreted by each individual differently.

PASSIONATE DESIRES OF A SAN FRANCISCO MUSIC COMPOSER
A profile of Megan McDuffee
Megan McDuffee
composes original music for media
such as film, advertising, video games, web videos, and television.
There wasn't a defining moment per say when she thought she wanted to
write music, it was just there from the beginning. In 2006 she heard
Film Composer Hans Zimmer speak at a composer's convention in Los
Angeles. He basically said "if you can do anything else, do it. The film
composing industry is terribly difficult to break into, so if you have
any penchant towards other fields, go for them instead." He said only
the
people who absolutely cannot do anything else in life and be happy
should compose music for film. Megan knew she was one of those people.
Megan decided to continue on her pursuit of this
challenging and rewarding career.
Growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area of California, she always
had
something musical going on, from taking private lessons to years
participating in world-traveling choirs. Once she hit college, she
wanted
even more immersion and industry knowledge to further hone her
abilities. She graduated from the University of California Santa Cruz
with a
Bachelor of Arts in Film Scoring and a minor in Electronic Music. This
gave her a solid foundation in music theory, ear training, film scoring
techniques, film history, electronic music software, and studio
recording hardware. With a desire to further her education she went on
to
the Berklee College of Music, earning a Master's Certificate in
Orchestration for Film and TV. The courses at Berklee encompassed an
in-depth study of industry-standard film scoring practices, sound design
and music for video games, and orchestration techniques.
Throughout her life and the years of musical training she had the
incessant desire to compose. After graduation from the University of
California she started writing music for films, advertisements, web
promos, licensing libraries, and iOS games as much as possible, and
she continues to do so today. Her style is very melodic and theme-driven, with
influences from composers and artists such as Trevor Jones, John
Williams, Koji Kondo, Tangerine Dream, and Depeche Mode.
Megan has won a few awards including the Hollywood International Moving
Pictures Film Festival Award for Best Musical Score for her work on Lightning Bugs in a Jar. She also collaborated with the amazing Hollywood Orchestrator and Composer,
Penka Kouneva on an award-winning video game. She also writes exclusive epic
and terrifying trailer pieces for boutique companies Colossal Trailer
Music and Elias Arts.
Megan is very passionate about her
work. In a bid to make her musical pieces that much more special and
unique, and set herself apart from other composers, Megan seeks out and
records odd, creepy, and strange sounds of everyday life and infuses her
pieces with
them. She brings her
creativity and extensive musical training to every project and is driven
to produce music of the highest caliber. Simply put, if you looked for
someone more passionate about their work, you wouldn't find them.

A SIGH OF RELIEF FOR DREAM POP FANS
The
Bilinda Butchers released their first #SkunkRadioLive EP on the 21st of
October, 2016. The EP contains 3 of the San Francisco dream pop band's
most popular tracks - Tulips, Careless Teens and Lovers' Suicide.
They
recently completed a tour of South Asia, which was very successful and
the band continues to make a name for themselves around the world,
working with specialist independent labels as well as distributing,
booking shows and promoting independently.
Their
sound has been described as ecstatic and heavenly, and it seems
everyone who hears their music becomes a fan instantaneously. Their
debut EP, Regret, Love, Guilt, Dreams was released in 2012 and they've
been climbing the independent music lader ever since. Regret, Love,
Guilt, Dreams has enjoyed great success over the years and was
re-released on Vinyl through Saint Marie Records on the 12th of August,
2016.

BEAUTIFUL GANGSTAS IN THE MAKING
Canadian Independent Rock Singer Songwriter, Tara Kye has announced a new project which is currently in the final stages of production.
The new project is called Beautiful Gangstas. It will be released independently and available to download on iTunes and other digital music retailers by late October, 2016.
Tara worked on the new single with John Dean, her piano teacher who has featured on several of her tracks including the recently released, Molten Metal, which is also available on iTunes and other digital music retailers. The 20 year cancer survivor is known for her sweet angelic voice and deep, insightful, relatable songs that often lay emphasis on the essence of a life lived to the full and other subjects along the same lines. A passionate songwriter, Tara has written and released a series of new singles almost every month since earlier this year and she continues to write and record new songs with the ultimate aim of bringing joy to the world through her music.
