Biography:
Mal V Moo was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, where she still resides, and grew up with church, family, and music all around her. She is currently a member of Rehoboth Temple Church of Christ where she also serves as a member of the choir and youth co-leader. At the young age of eight, she began writing her own music. It was immediately apparent she had a strong passion for music that would only continue to grow as she did.
Although Mal had begun to display her talent to her family, she was not allowed to begin recording any of her music until after she graduated high school in 2008. During her wait, she had written over 40 songs in which she stored in a binder until she was able to record them.
Mal V Moo made her recording debut when she was nineteen with the release of her first single “Verge Of Extinction” in 2009. Shortly after, she began performing her music locally and across the state of Ohio. In early 2013 she recorded and released her first album entitled “The Makings of a Monster” which featured hit songs “Bait” featuring Ohio Rapper Mike AZ, and “No Help, No Mercy”. Her singles landed her two online features on XXL Magazine and she received various accolades from blogs and fans.
Although she had always attended church, it wasn’t until the fall of 2013 that Mal V Moo fully committed her life to Christ. She knew that because of her change and new commitment her music would have to reflect that also. She released “You Are”, her first single as a Christian artist, in February 2015. “I believe that I am finally walking in my purpose which is to serve him and my brothers and sisters. Whether it is with a song that shares my testimony or encourages someone, or by putting in the physical labor in another way. I just pray that whatever I do that he will continuously get the glory.
