One of the major aspects in which we help artists is to help them generate revenue from their music through music licensing. We submit tracks to our music licensing partners for consideration under a non-exclusive music licencing agreement for use in film, commercial music production, television, radio, video games and other audio-visual applications everyday. This does not include music streaming services. If your track is accepted, you will receive a non-exclusive music licensing agreement with full details of the potential uses of your track. You will receive a payment whenever your track is selected for use in a film, advertisement, video game or other uses. This non-exclusive agreement will not interfere with anything else you are doing with your track. You can opt out of licensing deals at the audition stage simply by telling us by email or telephone at anytime if you didn't tick the appropriate box that opts you out of licensing opportunities on the audition application form. We will not use your track without your approval and we will contact you whenever a third party expresses interest in your track before accepting any deals. We will even contact you before submitting your music for consideration once we've spotted a potential opportunity. All unsigned artists, bands, music producers, DJs, music composers, songwriters and instrumentalists are welcome to audition. If you aren't unsigned, please get in touch with us to discuss before applying. We are open to all genres including Instrumental Music and Spoken Word/Poetry. The auditions are conducted online via our music publicity platforms including but not limited to our websites, blogs, online radio networks, online music and video promotion channels and professional networks. Our In-House A&R Team will also conduct their own review. Successful candidates will receive a detailed agreement and enjoy unlimited lifetime promotion, career development opportunities, record label pitching, live events and tour pitching, music publisher pitching, unlimited radio airplay and promotion, unlimited Spotify, Soundcloud and YouTube playlisting and pitching to over 12,000 playlists, unlimited lifetime social media promotion, online concert promotion so you can perform online regularly and earn money through advertising, and other exciting opportunities.
The auditions involve a series of intensive, targeted music promotion and publicity campaigns aimed at gaining maximum music publicity within a short period of time. It includes an online radio audience testing program that analyses how fans respond to new musicians and bands, and new music; and also takes into account how entertainment industry professionals, record labels, publishers and other music companies within our networks respond. The audience response is used to assess the potential record sales, live event ticket sales, licensing opportunities, sponsorship opportunities and other opportunities the auditioning musician/band could potentially generate via our networks. In other words, if the audience responds positively to a musician/band's audition then we can guarantee more record sales, events bookings, licensing opportunities and other opportunities and ultimately, help further their careers because we would already know who is interested, where they are located, what they like, etc. The auditions tell us what demographics we will be able to market a band to. They help us decide how much advance the auditioning musician/band may be offered upon acceptance onto our roster and also provide other important information that could contribute to or launch a successful music career. But above all, the auditions are a fun way to introduce music fans to new music from around the world and help musicians expose their music to a global audience.
The Skunk Radio Live Auditions is brought to you by SRL Networks London Ltd, an artist relations company promoting top Independent Musicians around the world.
